About the role

An opportunity has arisen for an Inspector to join our busy Advanced Remanufacturing Business based in Wellheads, Dyce. The successful candidate will perform visual and dimensional bench inspection and sentencing of components for overhaul.

An overview of your day

  • Perform visual and dimensional bench inspection tasks and sentence material as appropriate in accordance with company procedures and relevant quality standards.
  • Perform receipt and dispatch inspection for third party component manufacture and overhaul.
  • Ensure all inspection records and electronic tracking system meets the requirement for each component inspected.
  • Communicate effectively within the department and provide support and assistance to other staff and workshop teams.
  • Encourage and support all Company driven efficiency and process improvement projects.
  • Undertake other duties as may be reasonably required to meet the needs of the business.

What we need from you

  • Time served Mechanical Engineer / Inspector with a recognised Apprenticeship or National Certificate
  • Several years of experience in Gas Turbine environment - preferred but not essential
  • Ability to use a variety of measuring equipment
  • Ability to read / understand technical drawings and specifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience of Maximo - preferred but not essential
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills – verbal and written
